Six topics, ordered the way buyers ask them

Ordering comes first, then samples, shipping, quality, OEM projects and after-sales. Jump links are at the top of the page if you already know what you need.

Ordering & MOQ

Minimums, quotation speed and what you actually receive in the box.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

MOQ is set per part, not per container: stock items start from 20 pcs, painted or assembled parts are higher, and steel body panels are quoted per part. A mixed order spreads the MOQ across the range, so the fastest way to start is to send your part list and we confirm the MOQ for every SKU in it.

Are you a factory or a trading company?

Dongzhan Auto Parts Co., Ltd. supplies truck and pickup exterior parts from Changzhou, Jiangsu. We coordinate production with partner factories, inspect each batch and handle export packing and documents — you can visit or audit the production site with us.

Are your products original or aftermarket?

Aftermarket parts, built to OE fitment and dimensions. Where we hold an OEM cross-reference number we publish it next to the part, and we always recommend checking it against your VIN or the original part number before ordering. If a fitment is unclear, send the vehicle details and we verify it with you.

Can I place a small trial order first?

Yes. Small first orders are normal — a mixed pallet or an LCL shipment is a sensible way to test the market. The trade-off is freight cost per unit, which drops sharply once you move to a full container. We quote both options so you can see the difference.

How fast do I get a quotation?

Within 24 hours for a complete enquiry, and usually within 2 business hours for a simple part-list question. If you are urgent, call or WhatsApp us and mark the enquiry as urgent so it is picked up first.

Do you develop modified or styling parts?

Yes — modified headlights, tail lights, grilles, body kits, fender flares and off-road packages are part of our range, developed from market research. We add 20+ new SKUs a month. If you have a styling idea or a part you cannot source, send it to our team and we will assess whether it can be tooled.

Samples

How to get a real part in your hand before committing to volume.

Is the sample free?

For stock items we supply one part per SKU free of charge as a sample. You pay the courier freight. For made-to-order or painted samples there is a sample fee, which is credited against your first volume order. Multi-part sample sets are quoted individually.

Who pays the sample freight?

You do — the part is the free part, not the express courier. We ship with DHL, FedEx or UPS on your account (freight collect) or prepaid and added to the sample invoice. Freight is quoted before dispatch so there is no surprise.

How long does a sample take?

Stock samples dispatch in 2–3 working days and reach most markets in 5–7 days by express. Made-to-order samples need 5–7 days of manufacturing first, then the same 5–7 days of transit.

Can I get a sample of a part you have never made?

Yes, through the OEM route: send a drawing (STEP, IGES or 2D PDF), a demo part or photos with dimensions. We review whether it can run on an existing mould or needs new tooling, and quote the tooling before making the T1 sample. An NDA comes first if your design is confidential.

Shipping & payment

Incoterms, lead times, payment methods and consolidation.

Which shipping terms do you offer?

FOB, CIF and DDP. We quote in the Incoterm you work in, by sea, rail or air. DDP is available to worldwide, which means we handle the freight and import leg to your warehouse. If you work FOB, your forwarder takes over at the port.

What lead times should I plan for?

Stock parts typically run 7–15 days; painted or assembled parts 12–20 days; body kits and large steel parts up to 25 days. New-tooling projects add 25–40 days for the mould before production starts. The lead time on your quotation is the committed one — this page is a planning guide.

What are your payment terms?

Normally 30% deposit on the proforma invoice and the balance before shipment. T/T, D/P, L/C and Alipay are accepted. Terms are confirmed in writing on the proforma invoice; anything different is agreed with your account manager before the order is placed.

Can you consolidate a mixed container?

Yes. Different categories — lamps, mirrors, bumpers, body kits, steel and plastic parts, chrome, interior trim — can travel in one 20 ft or 40 ft container. We calculate CBM, propose a loading plan and photograph the container before it is sealed.

Can you ship to an Amazon or eBay warehouse?

Yes. We can deliver to a third-party warehouse or fulfilment centre in your country under DDP. Provide the receiving address and the warehouse requirements (label format, appointment booking, pallet spec) and we confirm what we can meet before the order is accepted.

Quality & certification

What is certified, what is tested, and what happens if something goes wrong.

Which documents can you provide?

Every shipment comes with a commercial invoice, packing list and pre-shipment inspection report with photos. Certificates of origin are prepared on request (CCPIT and consular legalisation support). For lighting, where an existing approval covers the lamp family, the approval number and scope letter go with the quotation. Destination conformity schemes such as SABER or PVoC are commonly required — confirm the scope and documents with your broker.

How do I verify lamp approval documents for my order?

Approval is product-specific, not a company badge — it applies to the exact part numbers in scope. Tell us the SKUs and destination market; we return the approval number and scope letter where an existing approval covers that lamp family, and we say so before you order if it does not.

Do I get an inspection report with the order?

Yes. Every shipment includes a pre-shipment inspection report with photos of the packed cartons and the sealed container. Test reports for specific SKUs are available on request, and third-party inspection is welcome at your cost.

What if the parts arrive wrong or damaged?

Report it within 30 days of arrival with photos, carton labels and the affected quantity. We investigate against the golden sample and the inspection record and reply within 5 working days with a resolution: replacement, credit or a corrective action plan. Verified defects are replaced or credited.

Can we audit the factory?

Yes — distributor audits and third-party inspections (SGS, Bureau Veritas, TÜV, Intertek or your own team) are welcome. We schedule the visit, share the quality documentation and give the inspector access to the line. Book through your account manager.

OEM / ODM

Custom parts, tooling ownership and branding.

Can you manufacture to my drawing?

Yes. Send a STEP, IGES or 2D PDF drawing, a physical sample or clear photos with dimensions. We sign an NDA first if needed, then do a DFM review and quote the tooling and the piece price at your target volume.

How much does a mould cost?

It depends on the part size, steel choice, number of cavities and the slide design — a mirror cover and a bumper are not the same project. Send the drawing or a sample and you get a fixed tooling quote with a piece price. There is no separate "mould repair" line on the invoice.

Who owns the tooling?

Customer-paid tooling for a customer-specific design is recorded as your property in the tooling agreement and the purchase order, with the ownership and exclusivity terms written down. Tooling we develop for our own ODM range stays with Dongzhan, and you buy the finished part under your brand.

Can you print my logo and packaging?

Yes. Logo application, labels, barcodes, master-carton printing and market markings are part of the one-stop service. Our graphic artist prepares the label layout to your market requirements and sends a proof for approval before printing.

What is the MOQ for a custom (OEM) part?

OEM MOQ is driven by the tooling investment: the volume has to make the tooling pay back. That number is calculated per project and stated in the offer. ODM parts skip tooling entirely and start from 20 pcs on stock items.

Do you offer exclusivity on a design?

Where agreed — by market, customer group or SKU — exclusivity is written into the agreement with its term and scope. We do not promise blanket global exclusivity on a first email, and we do not sell a customer’s proprietary design to other buyers.

After-sales

Warranty, spare parts, reorders and claims.

Do you supply spare parts and components?

We can supply replacement components for the SKUs you order — glass, LED boards, brackets, clips and connectors. Ask before the order is packed so the spares travel with the container instead of costing a separate shipment.

What warranty do you give?

Lighting SKUs carry a 2-year warranty against LED failure where the product data states it. Other products are covered by the terms printed on the quotation. Warranty terms are confirmed in writing with the offer — never assumed.

How do I reorder?

The golden sample and the specification sheet stay on file, so a reorder goes straight to production without re-approval. Your account manager confirms the SKU list, the current price and the next production window. Tooling costs never repeat.

Do you handle end-customer returns?

We handle distributor-level claims: wrong quantity, transit damage, manufacturing defects. End-customer returns are managed by you as the seller. We support you with photos, spec sheets, technical answers and a written resolution so the conversation with your customer is short.

Who do I contact after the order ships?

The same account manager who quoted and managed your order, in the same WhatsApp group with our QC team. No ticket system, no forwarding to a stranger mid-order.
