Truck & pickup body parts for African distributors

African importers buy for hard roads and long service life: dust, heat, potholes and a repair culture that rebuilds rather than replaces. Our most common African orders are value-focused halogen lamps, steel repair panels and mirrors for Hilux, D-Max, L200, Ranger and Hino fleets — often consolidated LCL for distributors who are still growing.

Stocking profile

What a regional distributor typically carries

Not a rule — a starting point we use to build first mixed orders. Adjust to your own workshop and retail mix.

  • Value halogen lamps and fog lamp kits for 2004–2015 Hilux Vigo and older D-Max generations.
  • Steel repair panels — fenders, hoods, doors, tailgates — for insurance and fleet body shops.
  • Mirrors and mirror covers: the most frequently damaged part on contracting fleets.
  • Dashboard and interior trims for refurbishing ex-fleet pickups before resale.

Compliance checklist

What importers commonly need

Every requirement below is product- and port-specific, and it changes. Treat this as a list of questions for your broker — not as a promise from us or from the scheme.

Disclaimer

Regulatory notes on this page are a planning aid compiled from common practice, not legal or customs advice. Rules change and are applied differently by port and by product — confirm every requirement with your own customs broker or freight forwarder before you book production.

What we supply

Test reports, product data sheets, product and label photos, HS codes, factory certificates, CCPIT certificate of origin and legalisation support. The conformity certificate itself is raised by the approved body in your country, usually in your name.

Quality & documents
  1. 01

    Pre-shipment conformity (PVoC / COC)

Several African markets — Kenya (PVoC), Nigeria (SONCAP), Tanzania and others — commonly require a pre-shipment inspection and certificate of conformity raised in the destination country’s scheme. The importer usually opens the file (e.g. IDF in Kenya) and we arrange the inspection with the contracted agency at our factory. Requirements and agency coverage change; confirm the current scheme with your broker before production.

  2. 02

    Cargo tracking notes

Some destinations require an electronic cargo tracking note (CTN/BESC/ECTN) before the vessel loads. Tell us at order confirmation so we can build the reference into the bill of lading — it cannot always be added afterwards.

  3. 03

    Certificate of origin & legalisation

A CCPIT certificate of origin is standard for African customs files. Some markets also ask for legalisation by the destination embassy in Beijing, which adds 3–7 working days. We quote it as an optional line.

  4. 04

    Heat, dust and humidity specs

For African routes we default to UV-stabilised PC lenses, sealed LED boards and corrosion-protected brackets; steel panels ship E-coat primed. Tell us the destination climate and we adjust material and packing notes in the quote.

How we help

Support built for Africa orders

LCL consolidation

Start with 3–5 CBM and grow. We consolidate lamps, mirrors and plastic parts at our warehouse and hand over one set of documents.

Inspection-friendly packing

Cartons opened by a PVoC inspector are resealed in the same loading order; fragile lenses get an extra foam layer because African road transport is the last mile too.

Value and premium lines

Same fitment, two price points: OE-style halogen for fleet buyers, LED and smoked versions for the retail and styling market.

French-language documents

Commercial invoice and packing list in French for Francophone West and North Africa on request.

Questions

Africa import FAQ

The questions we get most often from buyers in this region. If yours is not here, ask it directly — you will get a named contact, not a form letter.

Can you handle PVoC or SONCAP for my first order?

The importer opens the conformity file in the destination country; we book the inspection at our factory and provide the test reports, photos and product data the agency asks for. Allow 2–5 extra working days before loading. We cannot issue the certificate ourselves — it comes from the appointed agency — so confirm the current scheme and cost with your broker.

What is the smallest order you ship to Africa?

Around 3 CBM LCL is workable for a first trial: for example 40 pairs of lamps, 100 pcs of small parts and 20 mirrors. We will tell you honestly if the freight per CBM makes the order uneconomic and suggest a better mix.

Do your parts survive bad roads?

We design for it: sealed LED boards, gasket-backed lamp housings, steel reinforcement in bumpers and E-coat primer on steel panels. The failure mode we see most often in the field is installers not clipping connectors fully, so every carton includes a fitting note and we can add a QR to a fitting video on request.
