Truck & pickup body parts for Southeast Asian dealers

Southeast Asia is where the Hilux Revo and Triton L200 are built and where pickup styling is a fashion market — buyers want new looks on a short cycle. The advantage of sourcing from Jiangsu here is transit: 7–15 days to Laem Chabang or Port Klang means a fast-mover can be restocked inside a month, and an order can follow a trend instead of guessing a year ahead.

Stocking profile

What a regional distributor typically carries

Not a rule — a starting point we use to build first mixed orders. Adjust to your own workshop and retail mix.

  • Hilux Revo and Triton L200 exterior parts — lamps, mirrors, grilles and bumpers.
  • Styling kits for the modified-pickup scene: body kits, flares, hood scoops, roll bars.
  • Chrome and blackout accessories for accessory shops and online sellers.
  • Fast restock of 20–50 pcs per SKU rather than a once-a-year container.

Transit times are planning estimates from Shanghai/Ningbo (or the rail gateway for CIS) and exclude customs clearance. Your forwarder confirms the actual routing and cut-offs.

What importers commonly need

Every requirement below is product- and port-specific, and it changes. Treat this as a list of questions for your broker — not as a promise from us or from the scheme.

Disclaimer

Regulatory notes on this page are a planning aid compiled from common practice, not legal or customs advice. Rules change and are applied differently by port and by product — confirm every requirement with your own customs broker or freight forwarder before you book production.

What we supply

Test reports, product data sheets, product and label photos, HS codes, factory certificates, CCPIT certificate of origin and legalisation support. The conformity certificate itself is raised by the approved body in your country, usually in your name.

Quality & documents
  1. 01

    Thailand — TISI where applicable

Some lighting and safety-related products sold in Thailand fall under TISI standards. Whether your specific SKU needs certification depends on product scope; confirm with your Thai importer or broker. We can supply test reports and product data to support an application.

  2. 02

Indonesia — SNI / import approvals

Indonesia applies SNI standards to some automotive product categories and requires importer-side approvals. The listing changes; confirm the current scope with your broker before committing to a retail launch.

  3. 03

    Malaysia / Philippines / Vietnam

Documentation is usually commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin. Some categories attract additional registration; the exact requirement depends on the HS code and the importing entity. Ask your broker to confirm for each SKU.

  4. 04

    RHD vs LHD fitment

Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore are RHD; the Philippines and Vietnam are LHD. Headlamps, mirrors and some interior parts are handed, so tell us the market before we quote — this is the most common wrong-order risk in the region.

Questions

Southeast Asia import FAQ

The questions we get most often from buyers in this region. If yours is not here, ask it directly — you will get a named contact, not a form letter.

How fast can you restock a fast mover?

For stock items, 7–15 days production plus 7–12 days ocean to Laem Chabang — so a reorder can land in roughly a month. New-model parts and painted items take longer (often 15–25 days). We confirm the exact window on the quote and flag anything that depends on a paint batch.

Do you supply right-hand-drive fitments?

Yes — headlamps, tail lamps, mirrors and interior parts are handed. Tell us the destination market at inquiry stage and we quote the correct side. If you buy for both RHD and LHD markets we can label the cartons so the warehouse cannot mix them.

Can we order small quantities to test the market?

Yes. A trial order of 3–5 CBM LCL is common for accessory shops: 20–40 pairs of lamps, 50 mirror covers, 10 styling kits. We will propose the mix based on what is moving in your market.
