Truck & pickup body parts for US and Canadian buyers

North America is a demanding market to enter and a profitable one once you are compliant. Buyers here want DOT/FMVSS clarity before they list a lamp, landed DDP pricing, and retail-ready packaging. We ship both to importers who handle compliance themselves and to e-commerce sellers who need small, frequent batches.

What a regional distributor typically carries

Not a rule — a starting point we use to build first mixed orders. Adjust to your own workshop and retail mix.

  • Ranger T6/T9 and F-150 exterior parts for the aftermarket and restyling market.
  • Chevrolet Colorado/Silverado trim and accessory parts (verify fitment per model year).
  • Import-pickup parts (Hilux, D-Max, L200) for the growing US import-truck niche.
  • Small, frequent batches for Amazon/eBay sellers — retail-ready packaging and UPC labels.

Logistics snapshot

Getting a container to North America

Transit times are planning estimates from Shanghai/Ningbo (or the rail gateway for CIS) and exclude customs clearance. Your forwarder confirms the actual routing and cut-offs.

Port / gateway Country Transit (est.) Note
Los Angeles / Long Beach USA 16–24 days Fastest Pacific lane; customs and drayage add time.
Houston USA 28–36 days Good for Texas and Midwest distribution.
Savannah USA 30–38 days East Coast distribution; slower but relieves LA congestion.
Vancouver Canada 16–22 days Canadian entry; rail to Toronto/Montreal common.

What importers commonly need

Every requirement below is product- and port-specific, and it changes. Treat this as a list of questions for your broker — not as a promise from us or from the scheme.

Disclaimer

Regulatory notes on this page are a planning aid compiled from common practice, not legal or customs advice. Rules change and are applied differently by port and by product — confirm every requirement with your own customs broker or freight forwarder before you book production.

What we supply

Test reports, product data sheets, product and label photos, HS codes, factory certificates, CCPIT certificate of origin and legalisation support. The conformity certificate itself is raised by the approved body in your country, usually in your name.

Quality & documents
  1. 01

US — FMVSS 108 for lighting

Lighting equipment sold for on-road use in the United States must meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 and be marked accordingly; the manufacturer and importer carry responsibilities. E-MARK approval is a European scheme and is not automatically accepted as FMVSS 108 compliance. Many buyers handle this by using our assemblies for off-road/export use or by validating samples with a US test lab before retail listing. Confirm with your importer and a compliance test lab.

  2. 02

    Canada — CMVSS 108

Canada has its own lighting standard (CMVSS 108) and its own mark. Requirements are similar in direction to the US but not identical, and the importing record-holder is responsible for compliance. Treat a US test report as a starting point, not a substitute.

  3. 03

US customs — HTS and tariffs

Classification (HTS) and Section 301-style tariffs on Chinese-origin goods change frequently. Ask your broker for the current duty rate for your HS codes before you price; we provide accurate HS codes, material composition and country of origin (China) with every proforma invoice so the entry is clean.

  4. 04

    Packaging & labeling

US retail buyers commonly need UPC labels, English/Spanish consumer packaging and country-of-origin marking. We print customer-supplied label artwork and can add country-of-origin marks in-house. Retail-ready cartons reduce repacking cost at your warehouse.

Questions

North America import FAQ

The questions we get most often from buyers in this region. If yours is not here, ask it directly — you will get a named contact, not a form letter.

Are your lamps legal for road use in the US?

That depends on the product and your compliance route. E-MARK approval covers European type approval, not FMVSS 108. For on-road sale in the US, use a US test lab to validate the assembly and confirm the marking requirements with your importer. Many of our US customers sell our lamps for off-road, show or export use, or run their own US-specific program. We will give you the full technical file so you can make that call with your compliance advisor.

Do you ship DDP to the US?

Yes, to many US addresses where our forwarder has a DDP lane; DDP includes freight, duties and destination fees. Tariffs on Chinese-origin goods can change quickly, so the DDP quote is re-confirmed at booking. We show FOB alongside so you can compare.

Can you handle Amazon FBA requirements?

We can pack to FBA-style requirements: FNSKU labels, poly-bagging, inner cartons and carton weight/size limits that you specify. We do not ship directly into FBA — you or your 3PL receive the container and forward it, which keeps the import record with your entity.
